AGRICULTURAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN (2)
Mountain View Equipment seeks two qualified service technicians for our Ag Service department in our Middlebury, VT location.
The Ag Service Technician will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on agricultural and turf equipment.
The successful candidate will have one or more years of experience
with service repairs. He/She will have the ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures. The desirable candidate will also have proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of ag and turf equipment as well as the ability to use John Deere specific computer systems, such as Service Advisor and other required computer programs.
The candidate must be able to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes, and lift at least 75 pounds. High school diploma and current driver’s license required. Associates degree and/or Basic Service Technician certification preferred. Fork Lift license desirable.
These positions are full-time and are eligible for our full benefits package, which includes medical and vision insurance as well as paid time off and 401K after waiting period. Our work week is Monday through Saturday. Service Techs must supply their own tools for their work. CORPORATE AFTERMARKET MANAGER
Mountain View Equipment seeks a passionate business manager to lead and grow the aftermarket parts and service business of a growing John Deere dealership.
The Corporate Aftermarket Manager will lead the organization’s aftermarket (parts and service) business efforts in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives to maximize profitability. He/She will attract, retain and effectively engage department personnel.
The most qualified candidates will have a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures as well as improving financial performance year over year. Prior experience leading and motivating teams in multiple locations is necessary.
The Corporate Aftermarket Manager will be a skilled business manager focused on the profitability and growth of the aftermarket parts and service business. He/She will be able to set up systems to monitor and track profitability of the locations, support pay-for-performance incentive programs, while developing and implementing new and successful service programs. This position will work closely with the marketing department to ensure all communications to customers and potential customers are coherent and effective among all locations.
This position will have responsibility to travel between our four service locations in Vermont and Upstate New York. This position will be responsible for enforcing standardized practices and pricing among all locations as well as creating and monitoring budgets and goals for all locations.
The Corporate Aftermarket Manager will also manage the Customer Satisfaction Program and improve and build on current practices of connecting with customers. Internally, this position will be responsible for recruiting and retention of employees, including training and development of current staff. Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment is a plus.
The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a parts or service environment with at least 3 of those years spent in a supervisory role. He/She will be comfortable with computers and all Microsoft applications as well as writing and speaking effectively, in one-on-one and group settings. It is important that this candidate will also have a strong business and financial acumen with experience reading and analyzing reports. This candidate must have a drive and passion for service and building business.
Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Regular travel is required.
