Mountain View Equipment seeks a qualified Parts Clerk for our
Parts Department in our Malone, NY location.
The Parts department associate will be responsible for the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories while delivering exceptional customer service at the parts counter. The successful candidate will also:
Answer phones (multi-line phone system) and either assist phone customers with products/ordering or direct phone calls to other departments.
Verify the receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
Assist in keeping the parts department neat and orderly
Communicates any shortages or shipping issues to department manager
Assists in ensuring that all departmental tools and equipment are in good working order
Fills parts order for service departments as needed
Assists in preparing, stocking, cleaning and maintaining merchandise displays and overall upkeep of the showroom floor.
Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have one or more years of experience with customer service, preferably in a parts environment. Parts and machinery knowledge is a plus. The best candidate will enjoy working with people and being part of a hard-working team and possess and pleasant phone demeanor. The candidate must also be comfortable using basic computer systems, with data entry/keyboarding skills. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. High school diploma required. Fork Lift license desirable.

AGRICULTURAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN (2)
Mountain View Equipment seeks two qualified service technicians for our Ag Service department in our Middlebury, VT location.
The Ag Service Technician will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on agricultural and turf equipment.
The successful candidate will have one or more years of experience
with service repairs. He/She will have the ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures. The desirable candidate will also have proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of ag and turf equipment as well as the ability to use John Deere specific computer systems, such as Service Advisor and other required computer programs.
The candidate must be able to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes, and lift at least 75 pounds. High school diploma and current driver’s license required. Associates degree and/or Basic Service Technician certification preferred. Fork Lift license desirable.

AREA SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Mountain View Equipment seeks an experienced Sales Representative to join our Agricultural Sales team to serve Addison, Rutland counties and beyond.
The Mountain View Equipment Sales Representative will sell new and used agricultural and commercial equipment to new and existing customers, while building relationships in the community. He/She will seek out opportunities to make impactful connections in our agricultural community.
The most qualified candidates will have a proven track record of developing business and a book of clients as well as achieving quarterly sales goals within an assigned area. The Sales Rep will also know how to work as a contributing member of a successful team—working to build internal relationships with other salespeople, as well as with other departments, such as parts and service.
Maintaining current product knowledge of all of our agricultural offerings, including John Deere equipment will be essential. In addition to product knowledge, the successful Sales Representative will also maintain knowledge of changing/quarterly sales incentives and financing options among all brands, as well as monitor competitive activity and products in our area.
The successful candidate will also be a stickler for detailed process and follow the paperwork trail of a sale from beginning to end, ensuring that forms are filled out accurately and filed properly. He/She will also love to be in the field, knowing that the best and busiest ag professionals rarely take a day away from their farms to shop for equipment. He/She must be comfortable conducting field demonstrations, meeting customers where they are and working on the time schedule of the customer.
The Sales Representative will also attend and participate in area trainings as necessary and requested, as well as participate in and help execute customer events such as open houses and informational events.
Possibly the most important responsibility the Sales Representative will have is the unique understanding that they are becoming part of a team which has been successfully selling and servicing our communities for over 50 years. He/She must bring a passion and willingness to build upon and add to this important reputation and network of relationships in our community.
The successful candidate will have 1+ years of experience in equipment sales. He/She will have a wide knowledge of agricultural and turf equipment (John Deere or competitive brands) as well as farm operations. The candidate must also be comfortable with computers and all Microsoft applications as well as writing and speaking effectively, in one-on-one and group settings. It is important that this candidate will also have an ability to interpret basic sales reports and company information. Must work flexible hours. High School Diploma required; College Coursework preferred.
